Quartomoro - "Orriu" Cannonau di Sardegna 2022 (750ml)

This wine, made exclusively from Cannonau grapes grown on 14-year-old vines in Oristano, Western Sardegna, benefits from sandy and granitic soils. The altitude adds a fresh, acidic touch, enhancing longevity. Hand-harvested grapes undergo a 7-day fermentation, followed by 6 months in stainless steel barrels, then aging in used barriques, and bottle refinement for 6 months. It features a light burgundy-red color, with spicy, fruity aromas of dark berries, and a fine, fresh palate with currant and spice flavors, soft tannins, bright acidity, and a long finish. It pairs well with vegetable pasta, salumi, and aged cheeses like pecorino Sardo.
