Elegance and austerity defined Barolo from the 2013 vintage upon release in 2018. Flavio, working on his own timeline, chose to hold this wine back for an additional five years. Over that time, the tannins have softened and tertiary notes have emerged, and the wine is now just beginning its long drinking window. Tobacco, earth, mushroom, tar, and rose—this is Barolo at its most complete.
