The Fiancetto Gravelly Loam cuveé certainly speaks to its source; two well drained vineyards in the cooler, southern part of the Valley floor. These vineyards are loaded with pebbles and gravel, a gravelly loam that is perfect for vines to send roots deep into the earth, bringing back a terrific mineral quality to the grapes. This wine is packed with juicy black fruit, with hints of cedar and cocoa. Complex and layered, this is classic Napa Cab from one of the best young American winemakers in California today.
