The wine was aged in barrels for two years before being bottled in Fall 2016, followed by six years of bottle aging as per our extended élevage protocols. It exhibits a dark purple color and complex aromas of cedar, tobacco, and Asian spices. The flavor profile includes blackberry, cassis, and olive, reminiscent of St. Julien, with mineral-infused flavors and a sap-like quality. This wine is well-balanced, intense, and has a plush texture with good length. While delightful now, it also has the potential to age gracefully for several more years.
