The grapes for this cuvée come from a hilltop vineyard—Les Crêts, meaning “crest of the hill”—where Chardonnay is grafted onto the rootstock of the local variety Melon Queue Rouge. The wine is aged for approximately fifteen months in large foudres, then racked into smaller 600-liter demi-muids for an additional year of élevage, adding depth and precision while preserving freshness. Oxidative in style yet beautifully restrained, offering notes of beeswax and gentle nuttiness lifted by vibrant, refreshing acidity. Delicious and well-balanced.
