Karim Vionnet, an emerging talent in the Beaujolais wine region, initially pursued a career in baking before embracing his true calling in winemaking. He honed his skills under the mentorship of Guy Breton, a renowned figure in the "gang of four" along with Lapierre, Folliard, and Thevenet. After five years of apprenticeship, Karim set up his own vineyard in 2006 in Villie-Morgon, the place of his birth. His 5-hectare vineyard is guided by the philosophy of crafting "wines that are straightforward and natural." He avoids superfluous practices both in the cultivation of grapes and during the fermentation process, focusing on producing wines that are not only of high quality but also reflective of the unique characteristics of their origin. Among his creations is a Beaujolais Nouveau, noted for its velvety texture, vividness, and celebratory essence.
