This whisky undergoes a unique maturation process that begins with three years in American oak to impart the desired smoky profile that is universally adored. To infuse a distinctive Mexican twist into this aroma, the whisky is then aged for an additional six months in barrels previously housing mezcal. The mezcal originates from Matatlán, renowned as one of the finest regions in Oaxaca, further enhancing the whisky's exceptional character.
