The Bordeaux du Paysan Rouge by Olivier Techer is a bold yet approachable natural Bordeaux that breaks from tradition while remaining deeply expressive of its terroir. Made primarily from Merlot and bottled in Burgundy-style glass, the wine incorporates partial carbonic maceration inspired by Beaujolais, resulting in a supple, silky texture and vibrant freshness. Layers of plum, sweet strawberry, red cherry, and baking spice unfold over a fleshy, concentrated palate with smooth tannins and lively energy.

Bordeaux du Paysan is a collaborative natural wine project between Nicolas Roux of Château Coulonge and Olivier Techer of Château Gombaude-Guillot. Combining Roux’s family vineyard holdings with Techer’s low-intervention winemaking philosophy, the project delivers a modern, chemical-free interpretation of Bordeaux that is both authentic and unconstrained.
