Podere Pradarolo Velius Rosso Asciutto, Barbera 2013 (750ml)

Podere Pradarolo Velius Rosso Asciutto is a natural Barbera variety red wine made in the Emilia-Romagna region (Italy) by the Podere Pradarolo winery.

Podere Pradarolo is located In Varano de Melegari, in the province of Parma. An estate lying between 250 and 500 meters above sea level, where the vineyards, the winery, and the villa all sit on the same land. The owners, Alberto and Claudia Carretti, use ancient practices to make old-fashioned wines. This results in natural, healthy, and very durable wines.

The Podere Pradarolo Velius Rosso Asciutto vines are planted in clay soil with a low limestone content. Using natural, ecological, and biodynamic practices, the main aim in the vineyard is to ensure that the strain grows independently and maintains its natural balance. For this to happen, the emergence of biodiversity must be allowed to occur naturally. When the grape reaches optimum ripeness, it is harvested by hand.
