Hager Matthias is based in Mollands, a quaint town in the northern Kamptal region. After studying Oenology & Viticulture in Krems, Austria, Matthias honed his skills in Wachau and Burgenland at established commercial wineries. He began crafting his unique wine style at 21 and has spent the last 15 years creating wines that truly reflect the terroir, using local grape varieties from his 14-hectare vineyard near Mollands. Since 2005, Matthias's winemaking has been Biodynamic certified by Demeter.
This Gruner Veltliner is a classic representation of the Kamptal region and pairs wonderfully with food. It's an excellent choice for cold appetizers and traditional Austrian dishes like roast pork, schnitzel, and meat dumplings.
