Tami Sicily Nero D'Avola 750ml

This is a darker and more spice driven style that is more true to Nero's type. The nose shows black fruits, bramble, loamy earth and pepper.  Palate has medium plus weight with moderate acid in a palate dominated by black fruits and a bit of an earth edge. D&M Tasting Notes

Tami is a joint project between Arianna Occhipinti, and a handful of friends and neighbors, including her boyfriend, the owner of Tami wine bar in Siracusa. These well-priced and balanced wines are made from purchased fruit and fermented using indigenous yeasts. Arianna who says that the Tami project was done to prove that it’s possible to make good, simple, natural wine in Sicily supervises the project. Fortunately it’s relatively easy to make natural wine in Sicily, with it’s abundant sunshine, moderate rainfall and coastal breezes, low disease pressure means that chemical sprays are rarely needed, Arianna has never used them.
