Macarico’s flagship wine is harvested in the first 10 days of November. Maceration-fermentation lasts about 20 days in stainless steel, then the wine goes into oak barriques (20% new, rest 3rd and fourth passage) for 12 months in an underground cellar carved from the tuff soil.
Complex and rich in character with aromas of small black berries, licorice, and spice. The palate is powerful and smooth with velvety tannins and a pleasant balsamic note on the finish.
