César Marquez Perez is intrinsically connected to the Bierzo wine region through his family's longstanding legacy. They established the Castro Ventosa winery in 1752, a heritage that continues to this day. This deep-rooted history affords him access to some of the most esteemed vineyards in the area. His wine, predominantly composed of 80% Mencia grapes from vines aged between 80 to 120 years, is further enriched by a substantial addition of Alicante Bouschet and a minor inclusion of various white grapes.
